Front Building 1 – Kidz Cubby
Our Kidz Cubby centre caters for children 6 weeks to 3.5 years. We have five rooms designed to meet the needs of each age group. This centre is state of the art with rooms larger than required for space, courtyards, age-appropriate outdoor learning spaces and resourced age appropriately. This building sits at the front of our site and hides the magic of our playgrounds and learning environments.
We are purposefully set back off the street with our carpark as a buffer from the designated 4-lane road whilst ensuring confidentiality, child safety and a secluded safe haven for children and families. It is often a beautiful wondrous surprise when families and welcomed visitors walk through our doors.
Building 2 – Kindergarten
Opened in March 2009 and formally know as The Kidz Rock this is a one-of-a-kind, purpose-built Kindy that you won’t find anywhere else in Queensland. This amazing space is designed specifically for Kindergarten children to thrive and grow into school readiness.
It was designed and built before the Qld govt announced Kindy and its funding. It was the result of decades of successfully delivering Kindergarten inside a long daycare setting but wanting more for those children in the year before transitioning into school. The complexities in a Long Day Care setting with the environments designed to cater for the safety and well-being of our youngest learners created some learning deficits for our Kindergarten children.
Our Kindergarten is designed to be a space that facilitates the transition into a school environment.
It boasts a large multi-purpose natural outdoor learning environment with multiple areas defined without internal fencing. This embeds learning about unfenced boundaries, playground rules and navigating playgrounds.
Three Large Rooms meticulously designed solely for Kindergarten interconnects. Each has its own courtyard and direct access to the large playground. With low self-serving craft areas, toilet cubicles & copious kindergarten resources we are proud to offer children a space of real learning towards the transition to school.
